Missoula Music Teachers Association

The Missoula Music Teachers Association (MMTA) is a supportive community of professional private music educators dedicated to inspiring growth, creativity, and maintaining the highest standards in teaching and performance. We welcome new teachers to join us and enjoy our monthly meetings, professional development opportunities, and shared performance events.

Through scholarships, festivals, competitions, and studio recitals, MMTA also provides students with enriching experiences that nurture their musical journey.

MMTA is a local chapter of Montana State Music Teachers Association
& Music Teachers National Association.

Students can apply for need-based and merit-based scholarships. Teachers can apply for grants and assistance with continuing education.

Participate in our monthly get-together meetings, get discounted access for your students to participate in festivals, be featured in our Teacher Directory, meet new friends and colleagues, & enjoy professional development opportunities. Private teaching does not have to be lonely!

Help support our local chapter with our scholarship fund, and sponsor music performance events for our incredible Missoula music students!
