|Teaching piano, accompanying, and teaching general music has been a happy part of my life for decades. My experience has been working with students kindergarten age through adult. My education includes a bachelor degree in elementary education, a masters degree in integrated arts and education, both from the University of Montana, and many workshops in piano and general music education.
My teaching is eclectic, drawing upon what I think is the best of several methods. I strongly believe in the Suzuki philosophy that 3 people, the student. the teacher, and the parent, are vitally important to the developing student's success and each must take responsibility for optimum growth. I strive to give my best, expect my students to practice each day, and look to parents to be encouraging to their children. Parents are welcome to sit in on lessons if they wish.
